I started reading non-fiction for one reason: I wanted to grow.

Over the years — in the middle of parenting chaos, messy mornings, and hard moments — I’ve found comfort, clarity, and courage in these books. Some helped me break old habits. Some taught me how to connect better with my son. And some just reminded me that I’m not alone.

I don’t fly through books — I read in small pockets of time (sometimes just 10 pages a day). But each one on this list made a difference. I’ll keep updating this page as I read more, so check back anytime.

📖 Atomic Habits by James Clear

This book changed how I think about goals, motivation, and motherhood. I realized I didn’t need huge overhauls — I needed small, consistent changes. Even 10 pages a day became a habit that shaped everything else.

📖 The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins

This book gave me permission to stop micromanaging other people’s choices — and start protecting my peace. “Let them” isn’t passive — it’s powerful. It reminded me that I don’t need to fix, chase, or convince anyone to be on the same page as me. As a mom (and a person), that shift changed everything.

📖 The Champion’s Mind: How Great Athletes Think, Train, and Thrive by Jim Afremow

Yes, it’s written for athletes — but honestly, this book applies to anyone trying to show up strong when things get hard (hello, parenting). It helped me reframe pressure, build mental resilience, and stay focused on what matters most. The mindset tools in here aren’t just for competition — they’re for early mornings, meltdowns, and moments when quitting feels easier than continuing.

I think of it as a playbook for staying grounded in chaos — whether that’s in the gym or in real life.

📖 Welcome Home: A Guide to Building a Home for Your Soul by Najwa Zebian

This book felt like a gentle reminder to come back to myself — especially on days when I felt like I was pouring into everyone but me. Welcome Home helped me start creating emotional “rooms” where I could feel safe, seen, and whole again — without needing validation from the outside. As a mom, it’s easy to lose your sense of self in the noise. This book showed me how to return to who I am with softness and intention.
